Spring is here! Time for fresh beginnings. Somehow my passion for reading has taken a back seat off late and I am struggling to find time to read some of the books I have been wanting to read for quite some time. Hoping that as we enter into Spring the longer days will give me more time to read more books. Will have to control the urge to spend more time on Instagram and Facebook for sure and do some constructive heads-down reading 😉
Here are some of the books I have listed out for me to read and get caught up with by end of April, fingers crossed.
I got hold of this one and started off with this book by Beth Harbison. The book talks about three women who set out on a road trip together and develop a bonding and makes one think about friends who have been there to help out when in need and whom you have been there for when they needed you. Although the theme sounded a little desolate but as we read on it talks about the warmth in relationships between friends. Seems like an interesting read so far….
Added this book to my list since I read some great reviews about this book. It seems to be the last book from the great author Maeve Binchy, what a wonderful story-teller she was. Composed of series of short stories with a setting in Ireland I am sure this will have it own charm relating experiences from real life coming from an experienced author like Maeve. I like reading books with short stories as this sometimes is easier to read when you have a time crunch. I am sure I am going to love this one.
Again chose this one too as there were some great reviews about this book and Nadia Hashimi is another talented author. I have not yet read her previous book The Perl That Broke Its Shell but certainly have that in my reading queue. The storyline for this one attracted me as it brings up the much discussed and relevant issues of immigrants and refugees. Expecting this story to give me a glimpse of the kind of life some people who are in these situations have to lead. Have not read any other books from this author but the story line for this one seems intriguing. Can’t wait to get my hands on this one.
Would love to hear your thoughts on these books, have any of you read them or plan to read these books in near future….
Happy reading folks!
