Long beautiful days of summer had pushed us here into taking things at an easy pace, letting life take its own course. Bright and long sunny days, cool summer breeze, sound of children giggling and riding their bikes, backyard barbecues, quick stroll for an ice-cream, refreshing watermelons and a dip in the cool waves of sandy beaches … Ah! we are going to miss you dear summer!
The kids are getting ready to get back to school and the reality of bringing in a routine which we seem to have forgotten over the last two and a half months is outplaying us now. Since summer months are so short-lived I always try to make memorable moments with my daughters. So one such summer afternoon, we decided to set up a spa like bath and have some mother-daughter time.
We quickly put together few things that we had at hand and it created a perfect ambience. It was so much fun doing this. And my little one is such a poser, she is my partner in crime when it comes to any venture I am off to, be it decorating, baking, shopping or just goofing around.
The wooden plank here gave it a very rustic and vintage feel and it helped in tying up the whole look . Sometimes just putting together few simple pieces can create such great vignettes.
We added some rose water and essential oils which not only gave a pinkish hue to the water but also filled the room with perfect aroma.
Of course, add flowers and candles to any occasion and you can create magic…..
While we were doing this photo shoot I realized once again how different both my girls are from each other, while the little one always wants to steal the lime light, dressing up, in her chirpy self ready to be in front of the camera, elder one quietly extends her hand from behind, with the message- “you got this, sis” 🙂
Daughters are so much fun I always keep saying this, they can be a mom’s best critics and at the same time best friend. My elder one is back to University this week and every time she leaves our eyes still get numb.
Well, hope you enjoyed this post as much as we did bringing it to you. We are heading for a vacation to wrap up this summer with a bang and I will be back soon on the blog with more to chit chat about. Until then …Let’s stay connected … Ciao!!
